Thousands of PPE For The NHS
The last few weeks have been like never before at the John Partridge factory. Our wax, tweed and quilted jackets have been moved aside to make way for a very different type of garment.
As soon as we heard about the desperate need for urgent PPE our factory wanted to help. After receiving all the fabrics and orders from the NHS our production of scrubs, gowns and curtains was well underway.
We are now producing thousands of PPE and all our Partridge production has been put on pause for the time being. This is a decision we felt necessary during this urgent need. Luckily for us, we have our own factory so we are confident our future production will not be affected.
Our staff have been wonderful during this time by not only coming into work everyday whilst the rest of the UK is on lockdown but also they have been working so hard and producing faster than ever before.
We are following all government guidelines and we have thought very carefully about how our factory will run. All machines are at least two meters apart, all breaks are staggered. We have reduced as much touch contact around the factory as possible. We have masks, gloves, sanitiser available to all our staff plus our cleaning routine has been amplified.
As we take each day as it goes we will continue to help support our NHS in their time of need. We also want to take the time to thank our customers from all around the world for their continued support. We have received lovely messages and warm wishes which truly makes a difference to smaller independent brands like ourselves.
Stay safe everyone!
