This prestigious event, held during Cowes Week in the Solent, carries a rich history intertwined with royalty, innovation, and the spirit of the sea.

Cowes Week: A Royal Beginning
Cowes Week, one of the oldest and most renowned sailing regattas in the world, began gaining royal favour in 1823 when King George IV gave it his enthusiastic approval. The Prince of Wales, later Edward VII, further elevated its prestige in 1893 with the creation of the yacht Britannia. This iconic vessel, known by its sail number “K1,” was a marvel of its time, setting the standard for competitive yacht design and earning a permanent place in maritime history.

In honour of the K1 Britannia collection’s enduring popularity, we decided to integrate its spirit into our Landowner Range, creating a line that pays homage to both England’s coast and its lush woodlands. The Tri-Colour Coastal Wax Jacket features the iconic palette of red, cream, and blue, reimagined for today’s outdoor adventurer. But we didn’t stop at the coast. Recognising the beauty and significance of England’s forests, we also created a Forest Version, using a rich combination of brown, sage, and tan waxes.
